He received The RD Burman Award for New Music Talent for the song Kaise Mujhe Tum from Ghajini at The 54th Filmfare Awards. The super hit number `Pappu Can`t Dance from the movie Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na won him the Max Stardust Award for New Musical Sensation (2009).
